Using His Word for Prayer!
Do you ever feel lost when you try to pray?
One of the spiritual disciplines I tend to procrastinate, put last, or don’t always feel efficient when doing… is prayer.
Though prayer is one of the most intimate things a person can do to grow close to his/her Creator AND help to battle confusion/attacks/etc., it sometimes is difficult to carry out… especially with a genuine heart and with salt (meaning).
I also fear I am saying things to Him that aren’t pleasing or based off something false; so I decided to use His Word to write down prayers I could turn to when I know I need to be more purposeful as I’m praying. Topics included so far: Marriage, Praises to YHWH, Healing, and more.
The ability to pray to Him directly is a blessing alone- thanks be to His Son for tearing down that veil- and we should really take action with it for His will to be done.

I hope my rough notes and attempts to make somewhat of a guide will help keep your prayers focused & efficient.…that they renew your mind as you speak His Word. Let Him be praised when you see His hand in the midst of the circumstances that you lift up, as well as, the people you intercede for.
***Also, I highly recommend FASTING while/before you pray! It will humble you and ready your spirit. I have had prayers heard and answered when I remembered and planned ahead of time to fast for the thing(s) I wanted to give to YHWH in prayer. See what Messiah says about it in {Matthew 17:21}.

Marriage

MARRIAGE Prayers:
Let me submit myself unto my own husband as unto You, Father.
Let me be subject unto my husband just as the assembly is subject unto Messiah.
Let my husband be the head of me, even as Messiah is the head of the body & is the Savior of it.
Let us be & know that we are one flesh, just as we are members of the body of Messiah, of His flesh, & of His bones.
I pray, YHWH, that my husband loves me just as Yahshua loves the assembly & gave Himself up for it, so that He may sanctify it & cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word.
Father Yah, let me husband love me as I was his own body because he that loves his wife, loves himself; for no man ever hated his own flesh but nourish it & cherish it, even as Yah to the assembly.
Let my husband love me, even as himself; & let me, as his wife, see that I reverence him.
-Ephesians 5:22-33
Let me be submitted to my own husband, so that even if he is disobedient to Your Word, he may be won over by my pure & reverent conduct he observes (without the need or interference of my words from my own mouth).
Let not my beauty be external (ex. Braiding of hair, wearing fine clothing or jewelry), but instead, let it be in the hidden person of the heart with the unfading beauty of a gentle & quiet spirit- so that I may be precious in Your sight, Father.
Let me follow the way of the holy women who put their hope in You, Yah, being submitted to their own husbands just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him “lord”.
Let me become her (Sarah) daughter by doing what is good & not fearing intimidation (being frightened into submission).
Let my husband be understanding towards me as his wife. Though I am the weaker vessel, let him honor me as an equal heir of the grace of life, so our prayers are not hindered.
YHWH Most High, let us be like-minded (harmonious), sympathetic, brotherly (loving), tenderhearted, & humble-minded.
Let us not repay evil for evil, but instead, repay evil with a blessing (because we’re called to) in order that we may inherit a blessing.
Also, let us turn away from evil, keep our lips from speaking deceit, do good, seek shalom (peace), and pursue it.

I thank you so much, Abba, that in Your Word it says that an unbelieving spouse is sanctified through his/her believing spouse; not only that, but that the children are holy as well. I pray You find genuine belief in this marriage, so this whole family can be sanctified in Your sight and be holy. Praise be to You, YHWH!

INTERCESSION FOR THE ASSEMBLY:
YHWH Almighty, let us rejoice in Your Word, as one who finds great spoil.
Let us hate & abhor falsehood, but Your Instructions (Word/Torah) we love.
Let us be among those who love Your Torah (Instructions/Word), so we may have great peace & nothing that causes us to stumble.
Let us all hope for Your salvation, Yah, & do Your commandments.
Let our cries come to You. Grant us understanding by Your Word.
Let us not forget Your commandments.

Let us delight ourselves in You, so You will give us the requests/desires of our hearts as promised.

Also, help us to be like-minded, having the same love, being united in Spirit & purpose, YHWH.

Let us remember our sins were like scarlet & red like crimson, how they will be white as snow & like wool [because of the penalty paid by Messiah’s own blood].
So let us be among those who are willing & obey, rather than those who refuse & rebel, that we may eat the good of the land & not be devoured by the sword.

YHWH, let us all have discerning hearts that seek knowledge, rather than a mouth of fools that feed on folly.

As we walk after Messiah with the lives we have been given, help us to remember that many are called, but few are chosen. Let us have wedding garments that are washed & ready for the wedding feast. Let us be among those who are chosen by You on that day, that our faith be proven by our works, that we are accounted worthy to escape the trial to come & that we are to stand before the Son of man.

Creator YHWH, let Your instruction fall as rain, Your speech drop down as dew, as fine rain on the tender plants, & as showers on the grass.

Healing

This causes us to believe that You know the health of our bodies & whether or not we have physical ailments, as well as, the root of those issues. YHWH, You are the One True Elohim who crushes but also binds up; strikes, but Your hands also heal.

We come to You, Our Doctor, for wholeness. We ask that Your will be done with our temples as we do our parts in keeping them clean & free of idols. Cleanse us, Father, with the washing of water by Your Word/Yahshua our Messiah & we shall be clean. Heal us Yah, & we shall be healed… For You are our praise!

We thank You that by Your stripes we are spiritually healed (of our sin), & we ask also for physical healing & health to our bones because of the love & care You have for Your people. Ultimately, Your will be done & not our own, YHWH.

We also ask for earthly doctors who can provide help and share their knowledge to us, if necessary. Lead us to health and help us take care of what You’ve given, YHWH our Elohim.
Thank You, Father, for Your word because it says that if we serve You, You will bless our bread & our water; that You will take sickness away from the midst of us. HalleluYah! So we choose this day to serve You & wait expectantly for this promise to come to pass.

We praise only You, YHWH, because You are the One who renews the strength of those who wait upon You. They get mounted up with wings as eagles; they can run & not become weary, walk & not faint!
