So many questions one can have… or at least I did, and still do! So far, I have found that Scripture supports believers today observing His Days and Times, rather than the world’s.
**Below are some of the questions I have asked myself and the understandings I currently hold towards this subject; this is not meant to be a teaching- just feel it’s important to share these current understandings of mine. That is why I called this specific blog page “My Findings”. Please do your part and seek out Scripture/research before you establish any beliefs from others’ words/opinions. Ultimately, I hope this post can shed light on Him and His Ways, and provide clarity in the midst of confusion.
WHAT ARE THEY?

Breakdown
*7 total Appointed Times (Mo’adim)
*All occur within 7 months each year (April-October)
*All can be found (with their instructions) here in Leviticus 23.

Appointed Times
First Half (“Spring”)
- PASSOVER (Pesach)
- UNLEAVENED BREAD
- FIRST FRUITS
- PENTECOST (Shavuot)
Second Half (“Fall”)
- TRUMPETS (Yom Teruah)
- DAY OF ATONEMENT(Yom Kippur)
- TABERNACLES (Sukkot)
**And of course, the weekly SABBATH is an appointed time of His as well.
13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am YHWH your Elohim who sanctifies[a] you.”
Exodus 31:13
**”Sabbaths” could mean the weekly days of rest and/or the Appointed Days listed above too, because most of these special days ARE Sabbaths themselves.
Scroll down to the “HOW” section to see, in general, how one can celebrate these Appointed Times 🙂

I really like this image! The bottom images are based on the Old Testament events that occurred on these Appointed Days, and the top images are what occurred in the New Testament, as well as, the events we are waiting for: Messiah’s second coming (Trumpets), Judgement Day (Atonement), and Eternal Rest with Elohim (Tabernacles).
ARE THEY FOR BELIEVERS TODAY?

Most would say we aren’t to celebrate these days because they are from the Old Testament or abolished, and that they are only for the Jewish communities, but nothing in Scripture supports these claims. It doesn’t make sense that modern-day churches/Christians teach this when observing these times are a direct reflection of His Son, our Messiah. I, along with some family members and close friends, can all testify that we have never learned so much about our Savior until we began celebrating His Father’s appointed times, spoken about and commanded in His Word.
They are for the SONS (children) OF ISRAEL.
“1The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord’s appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations…”
Leviticus 23:1-2
If you believe in the Messiah and have the desire to walk as He walked, then you are a part of His family, ISRAEL/YISRAEL, which is also the Seed of Abraham.
23 and you are Messiah’s, and Messiah is God’s.
1 Corinthians 3:23 (Paul talking to believers in Messiah, in Corinth)
26For you are all sons of God through trusting in Messiah Yeshua. 27For all of you who were immersed in Messiah have clothed yourselves with Messiah. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female—for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua. 29And if you belong to Messiah, then you are Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:26-29

8 But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
Isaiah 41:8
BELIEVERS are….Jacob=Israel=Abraham’s Seed=Messiah’s=YHWH’s
10 For we are His workmanship—created in Messiah Yeshua for good deeds, which God prepared beforehand so we might walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 (continued below)
BELIEVERS are created to be DOERS of His Ways.
11 Therefore, keep in mind that once you—Gentiles in the flesh—were called “uncircumcision” by those called “circumcision” (which is performed on flesh by hand). 12 At that time you were separate from Messiah, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Messiah Yeshua, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah. 14 For He is our shalom [peace], the One who made the two into one and broke down the middle wall of separation...
Ephesians 2:11-14a
Messiah made both Jew and Gentile ONE in Him by His blood that was shed. So, to me, this means no more titles for anyone who believes on Him, they are all the same/equal.
So, who are we if we are “believers”? Click to read Romans 11:11-31 and/or click the link below for a trusted video study on this topic. 🙂
In short, we are Gentiles/Strangers UNTIL we believe and become GRAFTED into His family called, ISRAEL/YISRAEL. In the past, I’ve heard different. What about you? Want to learn more on this? It’s important to know who you are! CLICK HERE for the link 🙂
They are YHWH’s Festivals. They belong to HIM.
“1The Lord spoke again to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord’s appointed times which you shall proclaim as holy convocations…”
Leviticus 23:1-2 (again)
YHWH’s feasts are for YHWH’s people, meaning anyone who believes on His Son and wants to love Him back for what He has done, are encouraged to celebrate these days. Think about this: If we were never reconciled back to The Father, adopted, forgiven, cleansed, filled with His Spirit, and accepted into the family of Yisrael through Messiah, we would not be able to celebrate these. Praise YHWH alone that we get to!
HALLELUYAH!
DOES YHWH WANT US TO CELEBRATE THEM?

Based solely on what I have learned these past few years of struggling to find truth over lies, I believe that YES, HE DOES!
**YHWH uses terms like “forever” and “perpetual” in His Word more than once when He is speaking about following His commandments, statutes, ordinances, and right-rulings. These include His Appointed times. Below are some examples I have found in the Scriptures.
“…A Statute Forever”
29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourns among you:
30 For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.
31 It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever.
Leviticus 16:29-31 (specifically speaking about The Day of Atonement)
29 Oh that they had such a heart in them, that they would fear Me and keep all My commandments always, that it may be well with them and with their sons forever!
Deuteronomy 5:29

24 So [YHWH] commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our good always and for our survival, as it is today. 25 It will be righteousness for us if we [h]are careful to observe all this commandment before the Lord our God, just as He commanded us.
Deuteronomy 6:24-25
14 Until this same day, until you have brought in the offering of your God, you shall eat neither bread nor roasted grain nor new growth. It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.
Leviticus 23:14 (specifically speaking of the Feast of First Fruits)
21 On this same day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be a perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.
Leviticus 23:21 (specifically speaking of Pentecost)
The sum of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting.
Psalm 119:160
Our EXAMPLE,the Messiah, kept His Father’s Ways.
- Messiah Yahshua/Yeshua, went down to Jerusalem to attend yearly festivals throughout his life on earth. Check out this specific webpage as one of many sources on this topic.
41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom.
Luke 2:41-42
14 When the time came, Jesus took his place at the table, and the apostles joined him. 15 He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
Luke 22:14-15
- Messiah’s life, death, and/or resurrection did NOT take His followers’ acts of obedience away. See this article about how the disciples kept the Sabbath even after the time of Messiah on earth.
- They teach us about Messiah, His second coming, and more. (see chart below)
“[The Feasts] reveal the spiritual attributes of God and they transform us spiritually to be more like Jesus when we observe them. They also remind us of how God will always watch over us and protect us with His mighty power.”
Jonah, from his weblog regarding the Feasts of YHWH
If our Messiah observed them… so aren’t we also to follow Him, and do as He?

The one claiming to abide in Him ought also walk just as in the same way that He walked.
1 John 2:6
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:12 (Messiah speaking)
WHY?
“They are a shadow of the things to come,”
-Paul in Colossians 2:17
These Appointed Times aren’t just days to celebrate/observe; they are actually much more! The feasts and festivals are full of application and reflection on our Savior. Each feast has so much to it, whether it’s a reminder of what Elohim has done in the past OR looking forward to what’s to come. Every detail even (if it’s not a man-made tradition, be careful!) has a reason behind it- it’s really amazing! (With that being said, how are these times NOT His? YHWH is very detailed with everything He has created.)

Correlations:
- Passover- Messiah’s death (Lamb slain, Passover from death to life)
- Unleavened Bread- Messiah’s rest in the tomb
- Firstfruits- Messiah’s resurrection
- Pentecost- Messiah’s Spirit given
- Trumpets- Messiah’s second coming
- Atonement- Judgement Day
- Tabernacles- YHWH dwelling with us; eternal rest
**The chart below, shows some of the prophetic implications on these Appointed Times as well as past events.
I have found that the first 4 Feasts are focused toward looking back in time and the last 3 Feasts are focused on the future.**

***Also, this is much better to view on a computer, laptop, or iPad.

It’s HIS WAY!
YHWH’s way for His people does not include them involving themselves with what is around them. He calls them out to be different, set-apart from the world (“nations”). This means not imitating their traditions and customs because they are seen as idolatrous and worthless in YHWH’s eyes (see 2 Kings 16:1-4 and Jer. 10:2-3 below). This also means to not mix with the ways of the world either, though it seems okay in our eyes (see Psalm 106:35-39 below). The ways of the world, its holidays and all, all come from a common origin; this origin is none other than Satan himself and he shows up in the customs of Ancient Babel/Babylon, Egypt, Rome, etc.
Mixing with the Ways of the World: How YHWH sees it
The Golden Calf
32 Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us [a]gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”
2 And Aaron said to them, “Break off the golden earrings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. 4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf.
Then they said, “This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!”
5 So when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord.” 6 Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
7 And the Lord said to Moses, “Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. 8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’ ” 9 And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a [b]stiff-necked people! 10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may [c]consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”
Exodus 32:1-10

According to how the Israelites witnessed the Egyptians worship their gods (ex. calf worship) while being enslaved, they wanted to do the same to YHWH and mix in His worship with what they saw around them, which is not how HE wants worshipped… after all, it’s about Him- not us. They may have thought it was okay because “God knows their hearts” and that they are attempting to worship Him by following what they think is best or works well for others, but sometimes I don’t think we should trust our heart (what it has been filled with by surroundings) because it is said to be deceitful above all things and even wicked.
If you read on, YHWH ends up commanding the Levites of the camp to kill around 3,000 of the men for this act. YHWH takes idolatry very seriously… So serious that He even made it the first of the Ten Commandments.

We love Him by not having idols in our life, even if the object we are putting before Him OR the action we are doing for Him is sentimental and valued among you and/or your family. I am guilty of this. I have put things up in my home (for example) and also urged my parents growing up to decorate their homes as well in a certain way, because I thought I was honoring YHWH, My Creator. I just didn’t know. Now that He has opened my eyes to some things, I cannot go back to doing those things on my own and urging others to do so. May He open more eyes to see how HE sees things. Praise Him alone!
Let’s continue with more Scripture on mixing idolatry in with the True worship of YHWH.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. 3 According to [a]the doings of the land of Egypt, where you dwelt, you shall not do; and according to the doings of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor shall you walk in their [b]ordinances. 4 You shall observe My judgments and keep My ordinances, to walk in them: I am the Lord your God. 5 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man does, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.
Leviticus 18:1-5
10 “So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you into the land of which He [c]swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build, 11 houses full of all good things, which you did not fill, hewn-out wells which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant—when you have eaten and are full— 12 then beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 13 You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths in His name. 14 You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you 15 (for the Lord your God is a jealous God among you), lest the anger of the Lord your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth.
Deuteronomy 6:10-15
Beware of False Gods
29 “When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ 31 You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every [i]abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Deuteronomy 12:29-32
Avoid Wicked Customs
9 “When you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the [d]abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass[e] through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are [f]an abomination to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be [g]blameless before the Lord your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the Lord your God has not [h]appointed such for you.
Deuteronomy 18:9-14
In the open, we may not see much of these specific things listed above, but I believe they are steeped into the world’s holidays (an obvious one being Halloween) and its systems. The end of October is when Satanists/witches/etc. pray to the dead and conjure up dark spirits because they are closest to them at this time of year. I don’t want to go into detail because it either sounds unbelievable or just too dark. The internet has plenty of information on the celebration of Halloween and what it is centered around. May YHWH guard your eyes and ears if you decide to look into these things. In my opinion, celebrating this day along with trick-or-treat/”trunk“-or-treat is not anywhere close to innocent fun…
5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walk
In the light of the Lord.6 For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob,
Isaiah 2:5-6
Because they are filled with eastern ways;
They are soothsayers like the Philistines,
And they [b]are pleased with the children of foreigners.
7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8 ‘These people [a]draw near to Me with their mouth,
Matthew 15:7-9, Messiah speaking
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
When people follow traditions of men over (or mixed with) the commandments of YHWH, Scripture says that their heart is far from Him.

6 He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:
‘This people honors Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
7 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—[a]the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”
9 He said to them, “All too well you [b]reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.
Mark 7:6-9, Messiah speaking about the Pharisees’ man-made laws (specifically about how they must physically wash each meal, prior to eating)
The Pharisees appeared righteous and to be lovers of YHWH, but they were not because of what they held onto and kept priority (over the doctrines of YHWH). From what I understand, they added their own laws to His Law and forced others to keep them, so others would fail and in turn, make the Pharisees look ‘holier than thou’. The people were burdened by the Pharisees and their laws, which probably caused the people to turn away from YHWH altogether. The Pharisees were rebuked often by Yeshua because they had the wrong heart/motives towards following The Father.
In conclusion, anything put before YHWH and following Him is considered idolatry.
***If you are interested in learning more about this, the book, Idolatry by Josh Muglia, is a great read (see the “Resources” section below). It is packed full of explanations, resources, quotes, and historical accounts that allow the reader to better comprehend the world we are in.

Modern-day Christianity has been infiltrated by man-made doctrines that are held higher than YHWH’s Word and His authority. Lies have been perpetuated throughout churches for centuries and have caused apostate generations to arise and continue to increase, up until the return of our Messiah.

19 O Lord, my strength and my stronghold,
Jeremiah 16:19
And my refuge in the day of distress,
To You the nations will come
From the ends of the earth and say,
“Our fathers have inherited nothing but falsehood,
Futility and [a]things of no profit.”
****Below, is a short list of some reasons for the corruption in Christianity today, which MOST MAY NOT BE HAPPY TO READ, because I sure wasn’t happy when I first read things like this in the past.****

- SUNDAY WORSHIP: The 4th Commandment was changed by the Roman Catholic Church, which is not right to do because no one has that authority, but Elohim Himself. This is blasphemy.
- They, themselves, took the Sabbath Day (7th day of the week) and moved it to Sunday (1st day of the week). Therefore, making the “day of the sun” the center of worship, which is involved in the counterfeit worship of The Creator (the work of the adversary, Satan) and is commanded in Scripture to NOT do. See Deuteronomy 4:19 below. It also says in Leviticus 18, Deuteronomy 12 and 18, Jeremiah 10, and Ephesians 4:17-22 that we are NOT to do what the other nations do, who were Pagan (another name/religion used for the counterfeit of YHWH’s Ways).
- CELEBRATION OF PAGAN/WORLDLY HOLIDAYS:
- The Word says to “Come out of her my people” in Rev. 18:4 and Jer. 51:45 (see below), meaning to forsake the practices of the world (A.K.A. Babylon/”her”, Egypt, “nations”, Paganism, etc.) because they are considered idolatry in YHWH’s eyes.
- These being Christmas, Easter, Halloween, (..and all of the remaining ones we are well familiar with). Yes. Please seek The Creator of heaven and earth about this!!!
- These are NOT supported in Scripture. When these celebrations are brought up, it says to not imitate it or be trapped into imitating it (see Jeremiah 10:2-3 and Deuteronomy 12:1-4 below). The only “Holidays”/”Holy Days” that are mentioned (by YHWH Himself) to be celebrated/observed are found in Leviticus 23.
- REMOVAL OF YHWH’s NAME:
- The title “God” and “Lord” in our Bibles today are now used in place of YHWH’s sacred Name, which was another change made without authority by the RCC. The terms “God” and “Lord” can be translated to “Baal”, which is the god of the gentiles/pagans/”the nations” warned about in Scripture (Satan has many names and disguises). The definition of “lord” can be found in the Strong’s Concordance (Hebrew #1168 and Greek #896). It is important to know and use Our Creator’s Name, as well as our Messiah’s …and they know that. After all, how can you become close to someone if you do not even know his/her name?
- REMOVAL OF YHWH’s LAW/LAWLESS LIVING:
- Christianity claims Yeshua the Messiah did away with the law, but He actually didn’t (see Matthew 5:17-20 below). Yeshua Himself IS the Word/the Law/the Torah and He came to establish it and to be an example by abiding by it. Yeshua raised the standards of His Father’s ways, doing the exact opposite of these Christian-doctrine claims.
Scriptures mentioned above:
16 In the seventeenth year of Pekah son of Remaliah, Ahaz son of Jotham became king of Judah. 2 Ahaz was 20 years old when he became king and reigned 16 years in Jerusalem. He did not do what was right in the sight of the Lord his God like his ancestor David 3 but walked in the way of the kings of Israel. He even made his son pass through the fire,[a] imitating the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had dispossessed before the Israelites. 4 He sacrificed and burned incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.
2 Kings 16:1-4
34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the Lord commanded them:
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
Psalm 106:35-39
“And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.“
Deuteronomy 4:19
12 These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which YHWH, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess all the days that you live on the earth. 2 You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods: on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree. 3 You shall break down their altars, dash their pillars in pieces, and burn their Asherah poles with fire. You shall cut down the engraved images of their gods. You shall destroy their name out of that place. 4 You shall not do so to YHWH your God.
Deuteronomy 12:1-4

This is what YHWH says:
Do not learn the way of the nations
Jeremiah 10:2-3
or be terrified by signs in the heavens,
although the nations are terrified by them,
3 for the customs of the peoples are worthless.
Someone cuts down a tree from the forest;
it is worked by the hands of a craftsman with a chisel.
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts. 19 They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you didn’t learn Christ that way, 21 if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,
Ephesians 4:17-22
17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one [a]jot or one [b]tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
-Messiah in Matthew 5:17-20
“Fulfill”- to bring something to its deepest, spiritual application; to bring to the fullest understanding; completion of a goal or a prediction; to meet a condition; to answer; to not neglect or disobey
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 18:4
“Her” being the practices of the nations, unbelieving peoples, idolaters, the surrounding world.
(A.K.A. Babylon, Babel, Egypt, Baal Worshippers, etc.)

45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of YHWH.
Jeremiah 51:45
Therefore, I think it’s extremely important to continually read, study, memorize, refresh, fill our minds, and be washed by The Word- especially today- so we know it and in turn, prevent becoming deceived and committing idolatry (and then help others to come out of falsehood as well). Let us do our part and seek our Creator about these things for He cares for us, more than we even do. YHWH wants everyone to be saved and to be a part of His family, Yisrael (see 1 Timothy 2:3-6).
Satan is real and has an agenda to deceive as many souls as he can out of YHWH’s family by making a counterfeit family- one that is similar to YHWH’s because it is sly. Satan is the ultimate deceiver who caused the nations to become defiled through idolatrous and adulterous ways against the Most High; thus, deceiving believers into defilement as well- who are his primary targets. Remember, Satan wants to be like YHWH, to be God himself. Satan’s pride caused him to fall from the heavens in the first place and now is present on earth today, trying to make his dream come true.

18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
-Messiah in Luke 10:18-20
HOW?

Celebration Guide
(paraphrased)
Check out Leviticus 23 🙂
Passover:
- a gathering with others for an evening dinner that consists of lamb, bitter herbs, and unleavened bread
- recognizes Messiah’s death and our redemption from sin and a sinful life- Worthy is the Lamb that was slain!

**The following day starts the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
**Give this Passover-themed song a listen!
Unleavened Bread:
- a week-long celebration of eating UNLEAVENED foods and worshipping/praying
- a gathering & rest day is held the 1st day (the Passover meal) and the 7th day of this week
- unleavened foods symbolize our annual cleaning out of man-made traditions/doctrines or teachings/idols (remove the old leaven to make room for the new)
- also recognizes the rest our Messiah took in the grave
- He is the Bread of Life! (For the bread of YHWH is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.)

**the next Appointed Time falls on the closest “Sunday” within this same week (from my understanding, but I may be incorrect)
First Fruits:
- a day that celebrates giving thanks to YHWH for our risen Savior
- centered around the time of the barley harvest in ancient times
- reminds us to always give our very best to YHWH from the life we’ve been given
- recognizes His Resurrection was the first fruits offering and our victory over death/promise of our own resurrection!
- He is RISEN!

**this day falls on the closest “Sunday” after Passover (from my understanding).
**is also the day in which you begin counting the 7 weeks leading up to Pentecost; A.K.A “Counting The Omer”
See this blog post and this blog post for more about First Fruits!
Pentecost:
- a gathering that celebrates the provision from YHWH and, in turn, being generous to others with the abundance
- centered around the wheat harvest in ancient times
- this was was the same day Moses received the Law on Mt. Sinai, as well as, the time Messiah’s followers received the outpouring of His Spirit and spoke in different tongues as of fire
- filled with rejoicing!
- Sabbath/day of rest
- a meal consisting of LEAVENED bread (2 loaves specifically) and seasonal foods that YHWH has provided at that time
See my blog all about the day of Pentecost (Shavuot) HERE 🙂

*this day falls on a “Sunday” as well
**calculated by counting 50 days, 7 weeks+1 day, from the day of First Fruits
***For fun: a good day to give little gifts to your children, since YHWH gave us His loving instructions and His Spirit??
Trumpets:
- a celebration consisting of blowing trumpets/shofars/shouting with others
- filled with praise and worship/rejoicing! (its a loud day! haha)
- this day falls on a New Moon and is confirmed by its sighting
- Sabbath/day of rest
- looks forward to the day of Messiah’s 2nd return and trusting in YHWH that He has delivered, is delivering, and will deliver us in the end & at His timing- HalleluYah!

**this day occurs during the start of the fall season, the 1st day of the 7th biblical month/New Moon
**9 days later comes the Day of Atonement, specifically the 10th day of the 7th biblical month.
Atonement:
- a 24-hour period of “afflicting your soul”/denying ourselves/fasting (a humbling day) as we remember the atonement Messiah paid for us, His suffering, & the burden of all our sins upon Him; His sacrifice for a believer’s sin was done once and for all; therefore, no more need for SIN offerings for those who believe. HalleluYah!
- High Sabbath- no type of working at all on this day
- Looks to the future when Judgement Day comes
- Pray for others especially on this day

**4 days later is the start of Tabernacles/Sukkot, specifically the 15th day of the 7th biblical month.
Tabernacles:
- A week-long celebration of tent-dwelling with like-minded people
- filled with praise & worship
- 1st day is a Sabbath & gathering, and the 8th day is a Sabbath & gathering

Weekly Sabbath:
- a 24-hr period of resting from daily tasks (house chores, prepping/cooking food, exercising, buying/selling, etc.), so you have more time to spend resting of course.
- a gathering of like-minded believers to study and reason from the Scriptures together
- filled with praise and worship (see Psalm 92)
- rest in Him and look forward to the eternal rest that is to come.
**Great day for napping, reading/studying The Word, gathering with believers to study/talk about The Word, praising/dancing & worshiping, and much more! Relax & connect with Our Creator and Savior. Make it the most special of all the days of the week 🙂

Like I said, this is paraphrased by me and does not include many details. I encourage you to read and look into them on your own. Hope these Appointed Times YHWH has made, blesses you like they have me!

End Notes:
I don’t believe that it is my place to convince anyone of anything, for it is YHWH who decides to open eyes, to reveal lies, to show His Truth to whomever He wants and when. Thus, I hope to simply shine His light through the things I’ve shared above and to have others consider them.
From all of this, I do want to ask you a question…
If YHWH wants His own people to be set-apart or different from the rest of the world, then why would they want to be involved in the things it celebrates?
For example, the Christmas season is celebrated by everyone, a vast majority at least, including nonbelievers. It is pushed everywhere: grocery stores, advertisements, downtown decorations and lights, events at amusement parks and more.
If it is right in YHWH’s eyes to celebrate, it wouldn’t be supported by the world (in my opinion).

See my “No More Christmas??” blog post for more details.
